Heller Theatre was the first theatre to develop improvisational shows for Tulsa audiences going all the way back to 1989 and has continued to have one adult and one teen show each month for the last fourteen years.
What happens at a Laughing Matter Improv show? It is interactive theatre with audience participation-it's the audience who makes the performance happen. Improvisation is theatre of the moment and the moment is always something to laugh at. Heller Theatre was the first theatre to developimprovisational shows for Tulsa audiences and its' Laughing Matter ImprovTroupe is now in its' thirteenth year of performances. If you like "WhoseLine is it Anyway", or "Second City", you'll love Tulsa's version.
Julie Tattershall created the group back in 1989. Laughing Matter is an open troupe program.
Come and join our adult improv groups. Everyone is welcome. We rehearse from 6:00 to 7:00 pm every Tuesday night. We'd love to have you join us at Laughing Matter Improv.
