Tulsa's original comic improv troupe celebrates its creative comedy with Heller staff leading the group this year.
Come join the fun and add your own spin to any scene performed by the Laughing Matter Improv troupe when they call out for suggestions from the audience. Laughing Matter Improv shows are family friendly and intended for all ages.
Heller Theatre was the first theatre to develop improvisational shows for Tulsa audiences going all the way back to 1989 and has continued to have one adult and one teen show each month for the last fourteen years.
What happens at a Laughing Matter Improv show? It is interactive theatre with audience participation-it's the audience who makes the performance happen. Improvisation is theatre of the moment and the moment is always something to laugh at. Heller Theatre was the first theatre to developimprovisational shows for Tulsa audiences and its' Laughing Matter ImprovTroupe is now in its' thirteenth year of performances. If you like "Whose Line is it Anyway", or "Second City", you'll love Tulsa's version.

Heller Theatre is part of the Park and Recreation Department of the City of Tulsa. Heller has been producing contemporary plays since 1981. The same three member staff, Julie Tattershall, Frank Gallagher and Erin Scarberry operates and manages both Clark Theatre and Heller Theatre.
