What: Auditions for the Emergence Project
When: Saturday, April 10 at 3 pm
Where: Clark Theatre, 4825 S Quaker

The Emergence Project will hold auditions for young actors at Clark Theatre’s new home in the Henthorne Arts Center on Saturday, April 10th at 3 PM. Henthorne Arts is located at 4825 S. Quaker Avenue. All students ages 10-18 are invited to audition.

The Emergence Project consists of five short (10 minute) plays, each one written by a Tulsa area teen. The plays are:
Trial Period: An absurd mystery/comedy about a conman posing as a private investigator. 3 male, 2 female, 3 either.
Run, Pray, Leap, Fly: A comedy about crazy people who do not want to be normal. 3 male, 1 female, 8 either.
Violet's Scar: A 14-year-old girl trying to stop an evil man who wants to rule the world. 1 female, 1 either, 4 male.
Flutter's Last Hope: A well meaning butterfly encourages her fellow garden animals to action. 2 female, 4 either, and several non-speaking roles.
Chuck Is Dead: An absurdist comedy about the problems of being dead. 3 male, 2 female.


All the playwrights, directors, actors and technical designers for The Emergence Project will be Tulsa area teens. George Romero, an experienced director, actor, and arts educator serves as supervisor and facilitator.

Dates for the production are June 3rd through 5th at 7.30 PM, and June 6th at 2 pm. For any further information, call 918.746.5065.

Clark Theatre is a youth theater program and is part of the City of Tulsa Park and Recreation Department. Clark Theatre won the Tulsa Area Theatre Excellence award for Outstanding Youth Production for 2009. Clark Theatre has moved to its new location in Henthorne Park, 4825 S.
