There are a few happenings at Heller Theatre we wanted to bring to everyone's attention.

Season Kick-Off Party
First of all, our Season Kick-Off Party is rapidly approaching. If you attended Heller's grand opening party last year you'll have a good idea of what this is all about, but if you didn't, let me sum it up in a few words: food, entertainment, prizes, wine, and even more food!

The Heller Theatre and Clark Youth Theatre Season Kick-Off Party starts at 7pm August 27th, and our combined theatre seasons will be announced. We'll have live music, previews from our upcoming season and great food, donated from Brookside restaurants, available on buffet tables. You'll have a chance to make some great buys in our Silent Auction, and of course there'll be door prizes! The $10 admission includes two tickets to the beverage bar, where wine will be available. Finally, all proceeds go to the Heller Council, providing support for theatre activities throughout the year.

Call 746-5065 to make your reservations now for this great evening. Everything's included in the $10 admission and it all goes to a good cause. Come on out for a great time and support Heller Theatre!

The First Annual Heller Shorts Off-Off-Brookside Festival
The First Annual Heller Shorts Off-Off-Brookside Festival opens August 12. This is a festival of eight 10-minute plays chosen from over 25 entries, all by local Green Country playwrights. Performances are August 12-14 at 8 pm and August 15 at 2 pm. Ticket prices are $10 adults and $7 seniors and students. For reservations and more information call 746-5065.

Heller is looking for part-time help
Finally, Heller is looking for part-time help. We are hiring part-time, temporary help for the coming year. Qualified applicants will have carpentry skills, knowledge of basic power tools, and be able to lift 50 pounds. Pluses would be experience in a scene shop, the ability to teach (or substitute teach) acting and improv classes, and/or experience in other technical theatre fields--lighting, audio, costuming, design, etc. If you or someone you know would like to work for Heller Theatre, contact us at 746-5065 or email Frank Gallagher at frankgallagher@cityoftulsa.org. Pay is $10-13/hr. Work hours are flexible and will vary between 12 and 20 hours per week. Note: This is not a City of Tulsa position. Payroll will be handled through an outside employment agency, i.e. standard City of Tulsa benefits do not apply.
