About the Director:
Lisa is a native Tulsan who, after graduating from the University of
Tulsa and getting married, decided to stay in Tulsa to make a difference
in the arts. She last directed “Sideman” for Heller Theatre, and has
directed for Tulsa Community College, Youth Onstage, Broken Arrow
Playhouse and Theatre Tulsa. A well-known actress in this area, she has
recently been seen on stage with the Signature Symphony in “100 Years of
Oklahoma Music”, which was requested and performed for the Oklahoma
Academy as well as several other private functions. Lisa has also
appeared in several independent films; the most popular being “UHF” with
Weird Al Yankovic playing the Wheel of Fish lady. In addition, Lisa has
done many voice-overs for radio and TV, made several medical teaching
tapes as well as sung with American Theatre Company’s “Eddie and the
Eclectics” at the Brady for several years. An avid believer in
education, Lisa was involved with Harwelden’s Artists in Residence for 6
years. Lisa is currently the Senior Administrative Assistant at TCC Southeast Campus Performing Arts Center for Education, and has directed and taught part time 18 years. She was also involved in Harwelden’s “Artists in Residence”. Lisa is married to writer/director Vern Stefanic and has four wonderful children. |
