Heller Theater has continued its tradition of producing original plays . This play is the 2003 Winner of Heller’s National Playwriting Contest. Heller Theatre over the years has produced two new plays that went to off Broadway in New York and three plays that have gone on to be produced at other regional theatres. Heller Theatre has produced original plays for the last fifteen years.
Lucy and Todd are college students who have been assigned to write a particular sort of poem together, a sestina. The only obstacle is that they loathe each other, he the slob frat boy, she the promising young student. Together they explore life, relationships…and the difficulties of getting anything down on paper.
Bruce Lewis directs this world premier and Sherry Zyskowski is the stage manager. The cast consists of Owen Froeschle who plays Todd, and Brittany Diane Sutton who plays Lucy.
