The production will also be part of the Oklahoma Community Theatre Association festival of plays March 13-16, 2003 in Ardmore, Ok. After twenty-one years, David and Carolyn Rich have returned to the cozy hotel where they spent their honeymoon. What this anniversary unexpectedly holds in store, however, is not bliss. Riches explores what happens when a couple who seem to have it all—expensive cars, a substantial income, a son in a good college—allow all of the deeply buried niggling faults and years of petty transgressions to break through the seemingly perfect calm of their relationship. Emotionally harrowing and bitingly comic, Riches is a lean beast of a play scrabbling toward its wordless and devastating denouement.
