“Mere Mortals” by David Ives Aug 21, 22, 26, 27, 28, 2004 “Mere Mortals” is a collection of five short comedies written by David Ives. “Time Flies,” features two mayflies who decide that “Carpe Diem” is the best philosophy when your expected life span is only 24 hours. “Degas, C'est Moi" describes the adventures of a man who self-actualizes his inner greatness by becoming the impressionist painter Edgar Degas-to the confusion of his wife and friends.
