'Round the Bend Players' announces their first production: "After Play" which was written by highly acclaimed comedienne and author Anne Meara. Meara's first, New York Newsday said "Think Edward Albee and maybe Shecky Greene filtered through the sensibility of an observant woman on her way to psychological perfect pitch..."

Directed by Cyndi Vetter

The play takes place in an up-scale restaurant after the theater. Three couples renew their acquaintance after a long time apart. They share insight, humor and personal stories. The question is where are they, what time is it and what has happened? This production will be a staged reading. Cast and crew will be made up of senior citizens.

The cast includes Curt Bradshaw, Donovan Hamilton, Carole Joyce, Karyn Lee Maio, Jennifer Pruett, Lee Studerus, and Charles Whitson.

'Round the Bend Players' is the first senior theatre troupe established in Tulsa. Its main focus has been establishing a senior theatre program for mature aged performers.

Another production is scheduled in August 2005. In addition, senior performers and entertainers, from all venues will be offering variety of presentations featuring musicians, dancers, skits in residence homes, assisted living facilities and nursing homes. Other organizations will be offered full productions as well as variety programs.
